I envision a logo that prints well on shirts, mugs.  I see it having a calligraphy feel something in the front perhaps.  One of the team suggested a Gaelic font.  The part that should stand out is Distillers and read clean.  festival can be more free forming.  Southern Kentucky can be over top of Distillers.  A Glen cairn is a style glass for sampling Bourbon, whiskey & Scotch so if you use anything like that that would be the glass, other ideas for elements could be a Bourbon lid, Barrel , corn, wheat and barley.
