- Logo Name:
- Flying Fox Puppet Productions
- Company Intro:
- Amateur puppet theater performing puppet local shows that are both fun and educational at the same time. Almost all of our "productions" are puppet shows in person, not videos. Also, we offer workshops for children to make puppets and perform with puppets. The target audience is both children and adults. The adults are the ones who decided whether or not to invite us; therefore, the logo should not be overly childish or overly cute.
- Instructions:
- Minimalist: the flying fox is the primary visual and it is visually crisp and clear. I would like to have a leaping/flying fox in the logo. The fox should not have wings. It should look like a normal fox but be flying through the air. People who see the logo and color palette feel: cheerful, delightful, joyful, relaxed, curious, energetic. For the fox, flying is fun. His legs are stretched out (energetic), not bent or limp. Please see attached our old logo (with old name). I like this logo, however: it is merely an image I got off the internet. I am open to brand new ideas—including probably a fox who is more clearly flying/soaring. Also, for our needs, a single color for the flying fox might (?) be better than this 50/50 reverse-color split. And a fox the color of a natural fox might be best. The logo should have only one or at most two colors. But for the website and branding, we welcome a range of colors for the palette suggestions. The font should not be overly whimsical. Clearly legible and even slightly serious fonts might work better. I am willing to consider both serif and non-serif fonts. The font should not look like a child's handwriting. The font should not look like we are a pre-school. We will use the logo on the website, on business cards, on flyers for events, as an icon, and embroidered onto baseball caps. I would like (at least) two versions of the logo: 1. (most important) The flying fox with the words Flying Fox Puppet Productions. The words "Flying Fox" are much more important than "Puppet Productions." 2. The flying fox alone as an icon. The logo does not need to communicate anything about puppets. It could, but communicating puppetry is NOT a priority. (NOTE: we use hand puppets, not marionettes. Please no marionette images.) The priorities are (1) the visual clarity of the flying fox and (2) the emotional impact of the logo.
