- Logo Name:
- Longitudine Indefinita
- Company Intro:
- An italian YouTube channel about polar sciences and exploration, targeted at adults/young adults, either out of curiosity or for academic and work purposes. The mid/long-term goal is popularization and awareness of science done in polar environments.
- Instructions:
- The logo should be easily recognizable even when represented as the standard "round" Youtube small channel icon. It will be superimposed on Youtube videos and used on video thumbnails and channel banner. "longitudine indefinita" means "undefined longitude", as you can only have in north and south pole. The youtube channel will mostly be about Antarctica, but some videos will also be about Arctic and Greenland. It will educate about polar sciences and research carried on in Antarctic bases, the Antarctic treaty, climate change and history of exploration. Some entertainment videos will be about movies and books set in Antarctica, curiosities about the human presence and the occasional relevant news. It will also (try to) debunk myths and conspiracy theories about poles, which currently flood the platform. I would love the logo to be easily "flippable" upside-down, so that it could make very obvious in thumbnails or video intro when content is about Antarctica/South Pole or North Pole. I plan to use the "south" one >90% of the time, so that's the most important one. Regardless of the project specifications, the logo does not need to include the name. Should you include it, I'd rather have it outside its "round" part. B/W version appreciated but not very relevant, focus on the upside-down use. Please do not include animals (e.g. penguins, seals, bears), since fauna is very different between the environments the channel will talk about, some of them have no fauna at all, and >90% of videos won't be about animals. Edit: I've added a simple mockup, to better explain what I mean for a "flippable" logo. Regular one says "south pole", flip it upside down and it says "north pole".
- M...just realized there's a box for further informations. Sorry, I've tweaked the main description instead of using this :-/
